Student Wellbeing in Practice
Suffe strengthens healthy, diligent learning environments for young people in Sweden.
We build practical systems for attendance, health promotion, family coordination, and transparent reporting so students can stay engaged, safe, and ready to learn.
Organization History
A timeline of how local student support became a national operating model.
Suffe has expanded from a Malmö-based pilot into a cross-sector platform for student health, academic persistence, and procurement-backed accountability.
2012

Three schools tested integrated attendance follow-up with youth wellness referrals.
Initial cohort: 420 students.

Programs
Four delivery tracks designed for measurable student outcomes.
Each program combines direct student support with enrollment thresholds, referral criteria, and municipal reporting obligations.
Attendance Recovery Labs
Intensive twelve-week interventions for students with early absenteeism risk, blending mentorship, guardian outreach, and school-based routines.
Priority for ages 13-17 with recurring attendance gaps.
Healthy Schools Cohorts
Whole-school wellbeing implementation for municipalities that need practical routines around nutrition, movement, and psychosocial climate.
Includes baseline assessments and termly improvement dashboards.
Student Leadership Fellows
A peer-led leadership pathway that trains upper-secondary students to run inclusion, orientation, and study culture initiatives.
Fellows receive coaching, microgrants, and documented service hours.
Family Navigation Desk
Multilingual family support for school transitions, attendance planning, and referrals into local health or youth services.
Available to guardians, school teams, and municipal coordinators.
Monitoring & Evaluation
Measurement is built into delivery, not added after the fact.
We collect attendance, retention, referral resolution, and wellbeing data at intake, midline, and close-out, then review results with schools and funders each quarter.
Case plans completed on schedule
Students sustaining attendance gains after 6 months
Average guardian confidence score
Reduction in unresolved referrals year over year
Financial Transparency
Year-over-year comparisons are published in the same format every cycle.
Revenue diversification and direct-program spending are tracked side by side so procurement teams and donors can see operating discipline clearly.
Board Composition
A board mix built for governance, health expertise, education practice, and financial oversight.
The current board includes municipal leaders, school health professionals, evaluation specialists, and procurement advisors with balanced gender representation.
